i read the threads on 2 and 2 join me at lolin at spade clubs player of the year . I also read the interview he did and comes off like a concieted knucklhead On 2 and 2 people made fun of the fact of how concieted he is. Im built like a model. I want to sign with pokerstars? People on 2 and 2 felt the article was a spoof and he did come off arrogant in cardplayer article. They found it hard to believe someone would play 15 hours a day to win  player of the year and then be rewarded with a contract from pokerstars. I don't think the comments where that off  

Now that I'm here in the room I'm SURE nobody will be taking cracks at me anymore (right?), so lets have a positive discussion. I have many opportunities right on the horizon so it's really an exciting time for me. I'm willing to share my knowledge and experience with everyone here so you can start on the path of poker learning that I took. If you haven't read my article fully, I suggest you do it to save some time not repeating things that have already said, but I'm happy to expand on anything from the article or just help share any poker knowledge that you may be looking for.   he did respond on 2 and 2 sounds like him anyway

Vincolletti although I get the essence of what you are saying, because he did come across as a bit of a twat. Something worth remembering for you, me and everyone else who has first hand experience of playing on Spade Club, is just how hard those games can be.
Playing on Spadeclub took me to a point of despair, so much so that I actually gave up my exclusive membership. I have also read the posts you have made in this forum about your struggles on SC and so I know you have also struggled against the bad play. All of which leads me to one conclusion about Chillshots achievement, it was no mean feat to be SPOY.
Somehow Chillshot managed to beat or at least avoid the bad plays which haunt spadeclub players, and you have to wonder how he managed to consistantly beat the bad plays. The conclusion I came to was that he must have been making the right decissions more often than the wrong ones.
At worst the games on SC can be donk fests and at best they can be extremely competetive. Consistantly surviving the donks speaks volumes about the guys play.
I did note that you said you read the whole thread and that you also read the interview, which Chillshot claimed was taken over the telephone and compressed by SC. I like research its often a good way to get to the grass roots of a story and often gives you a much clearer picture of the whole story. A good example would be that some of the mouthy douche bags who were berating Chillshot on that thread also said they would like to play him heads up. Maybe people should stick those players names in sharkscope and see just how good those great players are over at 2+2.

I have a better challenge for the morons over there, let them join SC and lets see if they can do better. MY guess would be that they would fail miserably simply because the advanced plays they make in their every day poker on the pay sites will not work on the calling stations on SC and so the weakness of their game will be exposed.
It is my opinion that those players would stand little chance on a  membership site like SC. But they do not play there so how can they offer their opinions on what kind of achievement it was to be SPOY.
I also agree that the interview came across as being arrogant but could that same term not be applied to players such as Tony G or Phil Helmuth ? well of course it could but then again they also have achievement in poker under their belts.

The frustration that hits most players on SC often comes from their own ineptitude I can say that because I have been there, frustrated to the point where my own game became questionable.
But it would be unwise for anyone to think that extremely good players do not exist on SC.
I personally would back several players on SC against any of those posters over at 2+2, Chillshot being only one them.  Umustmuck, Jenkins, Jallaire, Hotpauko, Jackie, LQQkin, Rat33, Fugetaboutit and many more including DrCheckRaise....ok ok at a push skoalman too.

Infact I am going to attempt to set up a game between the two forums on a pay site and we will see exactly where the best players are, but dont hold your breath last time I invited them to a game they banned me.......Now how arrogant is that ?

Haters is what they are!!! One thing I cant relate to (nor do I want to) is being hateful when someone else gets something.Chillshot worked hard to win what he got.Who cares where he did it at, he did it and he doesnt deserve that kind of slagging off they gave him.
BTF has put up a challenge with 2+2 held on pokerstars on the 14th.This will be spadeclub players vs 2+2 players and I hope alot of you step up. We will be out numbered is my guess but I know alot of the players on SC  and we will give them something to think about for sure.Whos in????

Actually, it doesn't bother me what the other sites say about Spade Club.  I like it there and I enjoy most of the people that play there.  As far as "calling stations" and "donks" sure, we have them. Sometimes, I am one of them. Just depends on the mood I'm in at the time and how much concentration I have left after working all day and playing in several tourneys/sng's, etc.  I personally don't call anyone names, and if any of you ever catch me doing it, please remind me that I don't do that.  I appreciate the good players, because I can learn from their play, AND, I appreciate the bad players for giving me their chips and allowing me ( just a mediocre player) to build enough stack to make it to the money.....sometimes.

I am never going to be a GREAT poker player and I can live with that.  If I get lucky enough, and in my case it will be luck, to get a big win in a tourney, I will be happy to "take it to the bank" and let anyone call me anything they wish.  I try to play as best I know how, but , its not perfect.

Anyway, sorry for this long "rant", just felt the need to speak even though it is off content as far as the original post. I wish I could play as consistently as Chillshot, who is one we all can learn from.
